Hot Beef Salad
Garden salad with fresh-cooked beef.
- Cos or iceberg lettuce
- Red capsicum
- Snow peas
- (other salad veggies that you like)
- (Optional) Parmesan Cheese
- Stir-fry beef strips
- Soy sauce
- Worcestershire sauce
- Large bowls
- frying pan
Make up the salad (chop veggies, rip lettuce leaves etc) and put in individual large bowls (pasta bowls or big chinese bowls, that sort - this is a meal).
Marinate the beef (not that long though) in a mix of soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and water. Just enough to cover the beef. Pick out the beef and brown it lightly in a pan, keeping the remainder of the marinade aside. Just when the beef is brown but not cooked, pour in the marinade and a little more water, and let it simmer until it's just cooked (not long, this is stir fry beef).
Have the bowls of salad ready. Place the cooked beef strips on top of the salad. Take the liquid in the pan and pour over the salad (equal amounts for each bowl, naturally).
