Massive overhaul with the net end of making the pages look exactly the same... but stuff under the hood is different; I'm now using more CSS for things (and have a separate styles directory).

Updated the Cascade Times Awards page to include the 2001 nominations, with links to all the authors' pages.

4th July 2001

More on stuff under the hood, fixing errors. Now have a link on each page which will validate its HTML with http://www.w3.org. Added a new page (logo_link.html) Support Links which is a dull and general name for all those pretty logos that people use to link to other pages which have campaigns that they support and software that they use and so on. I've put all that stuff on one page instead of sticking the same few logos on every page.

Massive debugging session (stayed up until 4am last night, and woke up at 11:30am this morning and kept going...), and, ta-da! This site is now compliant with "XHTML 1.0 Strict"! My job was made somewhat easier by using tidy to put in a lot of those missing end-paragraph and end-list-item tags... now I just have to get into the habit of putting them in myself! Besides changes to my pages, there were changes to my scripts and changes to my version of htmlpp, which I have now renamed xhtmlpp in celebration, and will likely be putting up a page for it.

Revised the link-page generating script to allow comments on categories, and re-arranged some of the categories. (As well as adding and deleting a few links)

Did an overhaul to the reviews/biblio script modules to make them more generic (and need less html in the reviews data). Things May Come Of This. In the meantime, there could be bugs.

I said I would put up a page for xhtmlpp, well now I have! Also a tools page for other useful software tools. I also rearranged the main index page, clumped the links in somewhat better categories (I hope!).

I fixed a bug with the cross-references in the reviews script.
